Prerequisites
To effectively participate in this course and derive maximum benefits from attending this course, participants must have a CCDA or CCNA certification or the equivalent experience and knowledge with the Cisco IOS Routers.

Course Content
After completing the Mobile IP Technology training course, the student will be able to sell, install, configure, and maintain networks with Cisco routers supporting the Mobile IP feature.

Course Objectives

After completing this course the student should be able to:

  • Explain the advantages of using mobile IP.
  • Identify and describe the main components of a Mobile IP network.
  • Describe how data traffic is passed through a mobile IP network.
  • Configure a Cisco Router to support Mobile IP as a Home Agent, Foreign Agent or Mobile Router.
  • Explain the benefits of a Mobile Router.
  • Configure a Cisco Router to use a AAA server to handle the Security Associations for mobile routers.
  • Use the correct IOS router commands to gather information on the mobile network.
  • Describe the main changes IPv6 introduces to mobile IP.
