Prerequisites

CCNP or CCIE Routing & Switching or CCIE Service Provider or equivalent experience. The following Cisco learning offerings are recommended so the learner can benefit fully from this course:

  • Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks (BSCI) 3.0
  • Building Cisco Multilayer Switched Networks (BCMSN) 3.0
  • Optimizing Converged Cisco Networks (ONT) 1.0
  • Implementing Secure Converged Wide Area Networks (ISCW) 1.0

Course Content

This 5-day course offers Data Center-oriented content primarily focused on the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series switches, Cisco Catalyst 4900 Series top-of-rack switches, and to a lesser degree also on the Blade switches. This is one of six courses and exams that support the Advanced Data Center Networking Infrastructure partner specialziation.

Course Objectives

The goal of the DCNI-1 2.0 curriculum is to enable customers to build scalable, reliable, and intelligent Data Center networks using Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series switches.

1. Implementing the Catalyst 6500, 4900 and Blade Switches.

2. Implementing Firewall Services Module for a Data Center Network Infrastructure.

3. Implementing Network Analysis with NAM.

4. Implementing High Availability Data Center Features.
