NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. INTERNET ACCESS IS REQUIRED TO ENTER. You have not yet won. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. This Contest begins at or about 0:01:00 Pacific Time ("PT") on or about May 05, 2008 and ends at 08:59:59 PT on June 20, 2008 ("Promotion Period"). Sponsor's clock is the official time keeping device for this Promotion. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest and these Terms and Conditions, for any reason, at any time and without notice or any liability.
1. ELIGIBILITY: The Cisco "Edge Quest" Tournament ("Contest") is Sponsored by Cisco Systems, Inc. ("Sponsor" or "Cisco") and is open and offered only to individuals who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at time of entry (eligible "Participant"). Cisco Systems, Inc., Somnio, Inc. and their affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, and respective employees, contractors, officers, directors, representatives, promotion partners, and competitors (as defined by Cisco in its sole and absolute discretion) and their respective family members (spouse, domestic partner, mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, children, siblings and their spouses) and individuals living in the same household of those employees, whether related or not, are not eligible to participate and will be disqualified. Residents of the province of Quebec in Canada, Cuba, Iran, Syria, North Korea, Myanmar (formerly Burma) and Sudan are not eligible to participate. The Contest is void in these countries and where otherwise prohibited or restricted by law. Cisco reserves the right to limit, or restrict upon notice, participation in the Contest to any person at any time for any reason in its sole discretion.
2. CONTEST DATES: This Contest consists of two phases. The first phase begins at or about 0:01:00 Pacific Time ("PT") on May 05, 2008 and ends at 23:59:59 PT on June 11, 2008 ("Qualifying Round"). The second phase begins at or about 09:00:00 Pacific Time ("PT") on June 19, 2008 and ends at 08:59:59 PT on June 20, 2008 ("Tournament Round"). Sponsor's clock is the official time keeping device for this Promotion.
3. HOW TO ENTER: During the Qualifying Period, visit http://tools.cisco.com/GCT/PCTPST/game_public/CiscoGameMCP.jsp and play the Edge Quest game ("Game"). To register your score, click on the "register" link and complete the online registration form by providing your full name, age, and email address ("Entry"). Participants may register their score as many times as they like. However, only an individual's highest score will considered for participation in the Tournament Round. Participation in the Tournament Round is based solely on a Participant's registered score in their Entry. By entering the Contest, each Participant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and the Judges, which are final and binding on all matters relating to this Promotion. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify Participant for any reason within Sponsor's sole and absolute discretion provided it believes the Participant is not acting in the spirit of the Promotion or is not compliant herewith, or will have a detrimental impact on Sponsor, this Promotion, or any of its products or services. By entering, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, accept and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, as they may be amended from time to time. You may not resell, assign or transfer any of your rights under these Official Rules. Entries that do not comply with all requirements stated in these Rules will not be considered and will be disqualified. Entrants assume all risk associated with the Game, including, but not limited to, damaged, lost, non-functioning, incompatible hardware and software, Internet connectivity, functioning power sources.

4. JUDGING CRITERIA: The top one hundred (100) Participants with the Entry score during the Qualifying Round will be eligible to play in the Tournament Round ("Finalists"). One (1) grand prize winner will be chosen based on the highest score achieved during the Tournament Round. To participate in the Tournament Round, Participants must have played the Game during the Qualifying Round and qualify as a Finalist. These Finalists will compete by playing the version of the game specifically designed for the Tournament Round ("Tournament Game"). The URL for the Tournament Game will be posted on the contest website at approximately 09:00:00 PT on June 16, 2008. Finalists will be asked to register before playing the Tournament Game. Each Finalist may play up to three (3) times during the Tournament Round. Each Finalist's highest score (of the three) will be their official final score ("Final Score"). The Finalist with the highest Final Score achieved during the Tournament Round of play will be declared the potential Grand Prize winner. In the event of a tie during the Qualifying Round, the Participant who registered the score first will be deemed a Finalist. In the event of a tie during the Tournament round, the Finalist with the highest total combined score (sum of all three plays) achieved in the least amount of time (as deemed by US Pacific Time) will be deemed the potential winner. All decisions by the Judges are final. Potential winner(s) must comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules; winning is contingent upon verification of eligibility and compliance with all requirements herein.

5. PRIZE(S)/ODDS: USD$10,000 awarded in the form of a check/cheque and One (1) Cisco ASR 1000 Router; Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): USD$35,000. Total ARV of all prizes: $45,000. All prizes are stated in U.S. currency. Prizes will be awarded in U.S. currency, and for winners outside the U.S. funds will be wired provided winner supplies Sponsor with the required bank account details within fourteen (14) days of winner confirmation, failing which a U.S. dollar check/cheque will be mailed to winner who will be responsible for all relevant bank charges. Potential winners will be notified by mail, e-mail or telephone (at Sponsor's discretion using the information provided in the Entry). Potential winners will be required to sign and return an Affidavit/Declaration/Certificate of Eligibility, Release of Liability, and where legal, a Publicity Release for receipt by Sponsor within ten (10) business days of the date such Affidavit and Release are dated. In the event of noncompliance with these Official Rules, if potential winner cannot be reached using the contact information provided on the Entry on or within two attempts, or if the prize winner notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate potential winner will be selected in accordance with their score. Prizes are not assignable or transferable in whole or in part. Cisco products received as a prize may not be resold, auctioned, bartered, assigned, exchanged, transferred or donated. No prize substitutions allowed, in whole or in part, except the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable value. The Potential winner will be responsible, at their own cost and expense, for any and all installation, services, equipment, or any other additional costs not included herein. In no event will the Sponsor be responsible for awarding more than the stated prizes. Winner is solely responsible for any local, provincial, state, federal or any other applicable taxes, and any other costs, expenses and fees connected with the prize.

6. GENERAL CONDITIONS: Sponsor has the right to verify each Entrant's eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules, and to disqualify any Participant on the basis of its investigation. Each Entrant, by submitting and Entry in whole or in part, except where legally prohibited, grants permission to Sponsor and its authorized representatives to use his/her name, address (city and state/province/territory), photograph, voice, and/or other likeness for advertising, trade and promotional purposes directly related to this Contest, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide, and on the Internet and world wide web, without notice, consideration, review, approval or further compensation,. Personal data will be processed in accordance with Cisco's Privacy Policy which can be located at http://www.cisco.com/web/siteassets/legal/privacy.html. Personal information (that which identifies the individual and is submitted in the Entry) will only be used to contact Participants during the course of the Contest and/or in the event of potential prize award. Entrants should direct any request to access, update, or correct information to Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for human error, theft, destruction, or damage to Entries, or other factors beyond its reasonable control. Sponsor reserves the immediate right to disqualify any Participant who, in Sponsor's sole discretion: (i) is not in compliance with these Official Rules, (ii) tampers with the entry process, the Contest, or the Website; or (iii) is acting in an uncooperative, unsportsmanlike, disruptive, abusive, or threatening manner. Sponsor shall not be liable to a winner or any other person for failure to supply the prize or any part thereof, by reason of the prize becoming for reasons beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor unavailable or impracticable to award, or for any force majeure event, technical or equipment failure, terrorist acts, labor dispute, or act/omission of any kind (whether legal or illegal), transportation interruption, civil disturbance, or any other cause similar or dissimilar beyond Sponsors' control.
Neither Sponsor, nor its employees, officers, directors, agents, contractors, representatives, affiliates, divisions, subsidiaries, resellers, dealers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies ("Released Parties") shall assume any responsibility whatsoever for delayed, failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions; technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines or technical failures or difficulties; the incorrect or inaccurate capture or failure to capture information whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion, Entry, or other information; the failure to capture any such information; or errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, network or otherwise arising out of or relating to the Promotion, theft, loss, destruction or damage to Submissions, in whole or in part, or other factors beyond their reasonable control. Once submitted, Entry cannot be modified, deleted or cancelled. Except in cases of death or personal injury caused by negligence, Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in the Promotion or downloading materials from or use of the web site. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Promotion or website, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF APPLICABLE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAW. SHOUL D SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW (AND TO DISQUALIFY SUCH PERSON FROM THE PROMOTION, IF APPLICABLE). Entrants may not enter with multiple e-mail and/or street addresses, nor may Entrants use any other device or artifice to submit more than three (3) Entries. Any Participant who uses fraudulent entry methods, or otherwise attempts to participate with multiple e-mail and/or addresses under multiple identities, or uses any device or artifice to enter more than three (3) Entries will be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any Entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to enter will be deemed to be the person who made the Entry. The authorized "account holder" is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address.

7. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE: BY SUBMITTING AN ENTRY, PARTICIPANTS AGREE THAT THE RELEASED PARTIES WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND WILL BE RELEASED AND HELD HARMLESS BY PARTICIPANT FOR ANY CLAIMS, LIABILITIES, OR CAUSES OF ACTION OF ANY KIND OR NATURE FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES TO PERSONS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DISABILITY OR DEATH, EXCEPT IN CASES OF DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE, AND DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, DUE IN WHOLE OR IN PART, ARISING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, NOW OR IN THE FUTURE FROM THE DELIVERY, ACCEPTANCE, USE OR MISUSE OF THE PRIZE, ANY AND ALL USE AS PROVIDED HEREIN OF THEIR ENTRY, VIDEO, OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS CONTEST AND/OR ANY RELATED ACTIVITY. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, EVERYTHING ON THE PROMOTION WEB SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS MAY NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, IN WHICH CASE SUCH LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION SHALL APPLY ONLY TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY THE LAW IN THE RELEVANT JURISDICTION.

8. CHOICE OF LAW: Any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action with Cisco arising out of or connected with this Promotion, other than determination or validity of claims, shall be resolved individually, and exclusively by arbitration under the Commercial Dispute Resolution Procedures (January 1999) of the American Arbitration Association in San Francisco, California, U. S. A. and U.S. and California law shall be the law applicable to this Promotion, regardless of conflict of laws. Any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with participating in this Promotion, but in no event attorneys' fees. Participants hereby waive all rights to (i) claim or be awarded any punitive, direct, indirect, incidental, and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and (ii) to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
