(Original Workshop on Wednesday- October 3, 2012)
The amount of data and transactions moving through most data centers requires always increasing levels of performance. Security must have the ability to scale to meet these seemingly insatiable performance requirements, while also ensuring the highest levels of security. The newest release of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software, the core operating system that runs the entire line of ASA firewalls, can help resolve this challenge. ASA provides the ability to cluster up to eight ASA 5585-X appliances, for up to 320 Gbps of firewall throughput and 60 Gbps of IPS throughput in just 16 rack units.
Join TechWiseTV’s Chief Geek Jimmy Ray Purser as he hosts Cisco Technical Marketing Engineer Per Hagen and Product Manager Kinshuk Pahare to discuss how to build and deploy an 8-chassis ASA 5585-X cluster running firewall and IPS. They will discuss how and why to do it, things to watch out for and provide plenty of tips and tricks.
