Cisco Medianet: An Architectural Approach to Simplifying the Enterprise QoS Policy with Media Awareness
(Original Webcast Tuesday, August 21, at 8 a.m. PDT/11 a.m. EDT/4 p.m. London)

During the live event you will get an overview of the Cisco Medianet solution and architecture with Cisco expert Eric Yu. He will discuss the simplified approach for validating QoS for critical business applications by using medianet media awareness. As enterprise video applications demand greater quality of experience, we must identify and simplify complex enterprise QoS policies for all business-critical applications. The session demonstrates the methods for simplifying a QoS Cisco policy language configuration method by deploying medianet media awareness techniques. Yu will cover main medianet awareness features such as QoS Class-Based Policy Language (CPL), next generation NBAR (NBAR2), flow metadata, media services interface (MSI), and media services proxy (MSP). He will also provide some deployment and troubleshooting examples for Cisco Collaboration applications.

Eric Yu is a customer support engineer at Cisco responsible for supporting video performance on Cisco Borderless Network solutions. He has 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry designing data and voice networks. Previous to his current role, he worked as a network consulting engineer for Cisco Advanced Services, responsible for designing and implementing Cisco Unified Communications for Fortune 500 enterprises. Eric holds CCIE certification 14590 on routing and switching.
