Cisco Catalyst Instant Access (IA) brings fabric extension (FEX) technology (similar to Cisco Data Center FEX) with operational simplicity to the Cisco Campus LAN switching line. It’s tailor-made to meet the needs of campus and enterprise network deployments.
IA creates a single network touchpoint and single configuration across distribution and access layer switches. It supports simplified operations, distribution layer (Catalyst 6500 and 6800) features at access layer, a consistent command-line interface (CLI), and lower total cost of ownership (TCO).
This session will provide an overview of IA, an IA value proposition, components, features, scale, packet walks, and configuration. We will also cover CLI look and feel, and IA provisioning details.
Join Cisco expert Vivek Baveja, Technical Marketing Engineer, as he provides detailed insight into Cisco Catalyst 6500 and 6800 IA.
