Inside Cisco IT: Borderless Networks Overview

(Original Webinar July 3, 2012)

Traditionally companies looked at themselves as siloed entities: the enterprise with its perimeter, with external-facing applications, internal operations, for which they need to make sure of everything, was secured. What we see today are a shifting of what those borders are and a changing of the boundaries, where things are becoming more borderless. Three borders are changing: location, device, and application borders.

The network has become a “utility” that touches anything and everything and can carry a great amount of intelligence to provide a transparent experience to end users. Architectural alignment, both within borderless networks and among other architectures such as data center/virtualization and collaboration/video, is crucial to the realization of a true borderless network.

Join Cisco IT in a review and discussion that will explore Cisco’s Borderless Network’s journey including a glance at the business value generated for Cisco with specific examples and lessons learned.
