What Is KTN?
The Know the Network (KTN) solution is a set of business capabilities for collection-led,
intelligent installed base management. KTN is embedded in many existing Cisco programs
or may also be offered as a one-time event.
Network Inventory reports contain uncovered items, LDoS items, contract status and site
information. Know the Network enables contract correctness and provides increased revenue
opportunities and a strong value proposition to both customer and partner interactions.
Who Is KTN For?
The KTN Portal is currently available for authorized Cisco Partners and Internal Cisco users.
Users are required to have a valid CCO user name and password.

KTN Process
The KTN Process is comprised of five process phases: Engage, Collect, Process, Apply, Maintain. Each phase is comprised of two basic
components; LEARN and DO. The following are brief descriptions of each KTN Process phase:
The Engage Phase is where you GET STARTED with the KTN Process. In this phase
you will learn about the benefits of using KTN Process, what to expect as you
move through each process phase and have an opportunity to create your KTN Profile.
In the Collect Phase you will learn about the type of network collection tools/methods you can
deploy, best practices regarding how to perform your network collection(s) and create an engagement to submit/validate/report
the status of your network inventory as it compares with your Cisco service contract.
The Process Phase will give you the opportunity to learn more about the report you will
receive from Cisco. You will learn how to the read and interpret the report and apply the information to update/renew
your Cisco service contract(s).
The Apply Phase is where you learn about the online contract management tools Cisco
provides to you. In this phase you also learn how to work with unidentified items and apply changes to your Cisco service
contract.
The Maintain Phase is where you learn about the MACD (Moves-Adds-Changes-Deletes)
process and templates so you can effectively maintain your Cisco service contracts.
