Description

Cisco IOS Software contains a vulnerability that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to bypass security restrictions and gain unauthorized access to protected networks.

The vulnerability exists in the implementation of the Object Groups for Access Control Lists (ACLs) feature.  When this feature has been enabled, an unauthenticated, remote attacker could make crafted requests to the affected device to bypass security ACLs and gain unauthorized access to protected networks.

Cisco has confirmed this vulnerability and released software updates.
