Cisco Security Intelligence Operations has detected increased activity related to spam e-mail messages that claim to contain information about a problem with the recipient's package delivery via UPS. The text in the e-mail message instructs the recipient to produce a printed copy of the invoice at the UPS Office. The e-mail states that a copy of the invoice can be found in the attached .zip file. However, the .zip attachment within the e-mail message contains a malicious .exe file, which when executed, attempts to infect the target system with malicious code.

The inv.exe file has a size of 51,200 bytes. The MD5 checksum, which is a unique identifier of this executable file, is the following string: 0x3B9C3D653C3E5CB40C93E9599EE507DE

Dear customer!
Unfortunately we were not able to deliver the postal package which was sent on the 20th of June in time because the addressee's address is incorrect.
Please print out the invoice copy attached and collect the package at our office.
