Version Summary:
Cisco IronPort Desktop Flag Plug-in contains an issue that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to obtain sensitive information. A workaround is available.
Description
Cisco IronPort Desktop Flag Plug-in versions 6.2.4.3 up to but not including 6.5.0-006 contain an issue that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to obtain sensitive information.
The issue exists when a user attempts to send multiple e-mail messages by using the "Send Secure" button. In this case, only the first message that is sent will be encrypted. As a result, an unauthenticated remote attacker who is able to intercept the remaining messages could read sensitive information that the user assumes is secure.
Cisco has confirmed this issue and provided a workaround, but updated software is not available.
