Cisco Security Intelligence Operations has detected significant activity related to Portuguese-language spam e-mail messages that claim to contain notification of a criminal complaint generated by the recipient. The text in the e-mail message attempts to convince the recipient to open a link to view additional details. However, the link contains a .zip file that contains a malicious .exe file that, when executed, attempts to infect the system with malicious code.

The Boletim_sp_F3C95.exe file in the Boletim_sp_F3C95.zip attachment has a file size of 171,008 bytes. The MD5 checksum, which is a unique identifier of the executable, is the following string: 0xD885B9D093D57B2F411FFBA86ACA1592
