Version Summary:Cisco Unified Communications Domain Manager contains a vulnerability that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to conduct cross-site scripting attacks. Updates are not available.

Description
Cisco Unified Communications Domain Manager (CUCDM) contains a vulnerability that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

The vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input processed by the web interface of an affected system. An unauthenticated, remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by convincing an authenticated user to follow a malicious link that is designed to submit malicious HTTP requests to the affected software. If successful, the attacker could execute script or HTML code in the user's browser in the security context of the affected application.

Cisco has confirmed the vulnerability in a security notice; however, software updates are not available.

Warning Indicators
Cisco CUCDM versions prior to 9.0.1 are vulnerable.

IntelliShield Analysis
To exploit the vulnerability, the attacker may provide a link that directs a user to a malicious site and use misleading language or instructions to persuade the user to follow the provided link.

Cisco indicates through the CVSS score that functional exploit code exists; however, the code is not known to be publicly available.

Vendor Announcements
