| Version Summary: | HP has released an additional security bulletin and updated software to address the vulnerabilities in the Oracle Java SE critical patch update advisory for February 2013. |
| |
Description |
| |
Oracle Java SE contains multiple vulnerabilities that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to bypass security restrictions, access sensitive information, execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on a targeted system.
The updated packages correct 50 vulnerabilities in multiple components such as Java Runtime Environment (JRE), Java Development Kit (JDK), Software Development Kit (SDK), or JavaFX.
An unauthenticated, remote attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by convincing a user to visit a malicious web page or follow a malicious link. If successful, the attacker could bypass security restrictions, access sensitive information, execute arbitrary code, or cause a DoS condition on the system.
Administrators are advised to apply the appropriate updates.
