Cisco Cloud Portal contains a vulnerability that could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to access sensitive information.
The vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of user permissions by the affected software. An authenticated, remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by convincing a user to follow a crafted URL. If successful, the attacker may be able to view user information stored in the affected system. This information could be used to conduct further attacks.
Cisco has confirmed the vulnerability and software updates are available.
At the time this alert was first published, Cisco Cloud Portal versions 9.3.2 and prior were vulnerable. Later versions of Cisco Cloud Portal may also be affected.
To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker may provide a link that directs a user to a malicious site and use misleading language or instructions to persuade the user to follow the provided link.
