Cisco Wireless LAN Controller Software contains a vulnerability that could allow an authenticated, adjacent attacker to cause a denial of service condition. Updates are available.
Description
Cisco Wireless LAN Controller Software contains a vulnerability that could allow an authenticated, adjacent attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition.
The vulnerability is due to the improper handling of user-supplied input processed by the mDNS snooping feature of the affected software. An authenticated, adjacent attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted mDNS packets to the affected system. Processing the crafted packets could trigger a reload of the affected device, resulting in a DoS condition.
Cisco has confirmed the vulnerability and software updates are available.
