Cisco Unified Communications Manager contains a vulnerability that could allow a local attacker to view sensitive information. Updates are not available.
A vulnerability in the command-line interface (CLI) of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) could allow an authenticated, local attacker to read the contents of arbitrary files.
The vulnerability is due to incomplete input validation. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by issuing a crafted command on the CLI. An exploit could allow the attacker to read arbitrary files on the local file system.
Cisco has confirmed the vulnerability in a security notice; however, software updates are not available.
At the time this alert was first published, Cisco CUCM version 9.1(1) is vulnerable. Later versions of Cisco CUCM may also be affected.
To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have local access to a targeted system. This access restriction limits the possibility of a successful exploit.
