Description
Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client for Mac OS X contains a vulnerability that could allow an authenticated, local attacker to run arbitrary programs with elevated privileges.

The vulnerability is due to lax access permissions for a directory that contains libraries used by the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by using the lax permissions of this directory. An exploit could allow the attacker to run arbitrary programs with elevated privileges.

Cisco has confirmed the vulnerability in a security notice; however, software updates are not available.
 
Warning Indicators
At the time this alert was first published, Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client versions 3.0.5080 and prior were vulnerable. Later releases of Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client may also be vulnerable.
