Cisco Security has detected significant activity related to spam email messages that claim to contain a bill payment notification message from Bank of America for the recipient. The text in the email message attempts to convince the recipient to open the attachment to view the order details and invoice. However, the .zip attachment contains a malicious .exe file that, when executed, attempts to infect the system with malicious code.

The 695544353.exe file in the 695544353.zip attachment has a file size of 18,432 bytes. The MD5 checksum, which is a unique identifier of the executable, is the following string: 0xCA115CC64402208F5E37F289CF1941B5
