KCFinder web file manager contains a vulnerability that could allow an
unauthenticated, remote attacker to disclose sensitive file information.

A vulnerability in KCFinder could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to view local files on the targeted system.
The vulnerability exists due to the improper validation of user-supplied input when handling files. An attacker could exploit the vulnerability by sending requests with a crafted file parameter to the affected software. A successful attack could allow the attacker to disclose sensitive file information. The information may aid in additional attacks against the system.
Administrators are advised to implement an intrusion prevention system
(IPS) or intrusion detection system (IDS) to help detect and prevent
attacks that attempt to exploit this vulnerability.
