Description
Cisco Security Intelligence Operations has detected significant activity related to spam e-mail messages that claim to contain a Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaint report for the recipient. The text in the e-mail message attempts to convince the recipient to open the attachment and view the details. However, the .zip attachment contains a malicious .exe file that, when executed, attempts to infect the system with malicious code.

The bbb_complaint_case#329~01.exe file in the bbb_complaint_case#329~01.zip attachment has a file size of 108,544 bytes. The MD5 checksum, which is a unique identifier of the executable, is the following string: 0xEE73EB5C98D0697EE922CDAAE5B705F6
The bbb_complaint_case~1.exe file in the bbb_complaint_case~1.zip attachment has a file size of 110,592 bytes. The MD5 checksum is the following string: 0xDFE36E72714D708CB794E11409B7B70A
