Cisco Prime Central for Hosted Collaboration Solution contains a vulnerability that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to conduct cross-site scripting attacks. Updates are not available.
A vulnerability in the IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM) help menus of Cisco Prime Central for Hosted Collaboration Solution could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack against a user of the web interface of the affected system.
The vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation of a parameter. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by convincing the user to access a malicious link.
Cisco has confirmed the vulnerability in a security notice; however, software updates are not available.
At the time this alert was first published, Cisco Prime Central for Hosted Collaboration Solution version 9.0 is vulnerable. Later versions of Cisco Prime Central for Hosted Collaboration Solution may also be affected.
To exploit the vulnerability, the attacker may provide a link that directs a user to a malicious site and use misleading language or instructions in an attempt to persuade a user to follow the malicious link.

An unauthenticated, remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to conduct XSS attacks. Successful exploitation could allow the attacker to access sensitive browser-based information, such as cookie-based authentication credentials or recently submitted data.
The vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input by a parameter in the affected software.
An unauthenticated, remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by persuading a user to visit a malicious link that is designed to submit crafted input to the affected software. If successful, the attacker could execute arbitrary script code in the user's browser session in the context of the affected site.
Administrators are advised to contact the vendor regarding future updates and releases.
