A vulnerability in the order_by parameter in SQLAlchemy could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to
conduct an SQL Injection attack against a targeted system.
The vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of user supplied input submitted to the order_by parameter
of the affected software. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a request that submits
malicious input to the targeted system. A successful exploit could allow an attacker to conduct SQL injection attacks
that could lead to further exploits against the system.
Proof-of-concept code that demonstrates an exploit of this vulnerability is publicly available.
SQLAlchemy has confirmed the vulnerability and released updated software.
To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must send a request that submits a malicious input to the affected application on a targeted system. This access requirement may reduce the likelihood of a successful exploit.

Administrators are advised to run both firewall and antivirus applications to minimize the potential of inbound and outbound threats.
