Cisco Event Response: Microsoft Security Update Release for July 2017

Microsoft published its monthly security updates on July 11, 2017. Microsoft addressed 54 vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft ASP.NET. The vulnerabilities could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code, gain elevated privileges, bypass security protections, view sensitive information, or cause a denial of service condition.

Before deploying or installing Microsoft security updates, customers are advised to evaluate and assess the impact of the updates on Cisco products in their environments. To define a complete impact assessment and upgrade solution, Cisco recommends referring to the information in the Microsoft Security Update Guide and the compatibility information, update policies, and related support documentation for Cisco products.
