Description

This signature triggers on an attempt to exploit a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) packet processing vulnerability in certain versions of the Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco IOS and Cisco PGW softswitch. Successful exploitation of the vulnerability can result in a denial of service condition that may interrupt voice services. This signature recognizes the attempt over UDP.The Vulnerability in Cisco PGW softswitch is documented in Cisco Bug ID CSCsj98521 and has been assigned the CVE identifier CVE-2010-1562.The Vulnerability in Cisco IOS is documented in Cisco Bug ID CSCti48483 and has been assigned the CVE identifier CVE-2011-3278.
