A remote code execution vulnerability exists in WinVerifyTrust's handling of Windows Authenticode signature verification for executable files. A remote attacker could modify an existing signed executable file to add malicious code to the file and maintain the validity of the signature. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could execute code remotely on the affected system. This vulnerability is further documented as CVE-2013-3900.
